Lots of their very beautiful churches and buildings lack viewing space, they are cramped in between or surrounded too close by other buildings&#8230;So it is hard to get them in their all beauty on a picture not speaking about getting the full view for admiring them in their full splendor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2167\" title=\"DSCF0332\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0332.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2072\" title=\"DSCF0331\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0331.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2077\" title=\"DSCF0337\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0337.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Behind this building we dived into the Medieval part of the city &#8211; Barri Gotic, which seemed at first unreal, like in a movie:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2081\" title=\"DSCF0351\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0351.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2082\" title=\"DSCF0354\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0354.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2083\" title=\"DSCF0502\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0502.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Those were the wall of the cathedral and the castle connected to it But the Cathedral view is not good for they had cranes fixing its towers.  So I am showing only the insides which we admired a lot.  And I was very happy our camera was sensitive enough to take pics in that low light that they had without a flash that they don&#8217;t permit. So here it is &#8211;  the most breathtaking view I saw in Barcelona:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2084\" title=\"DSCF0345\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0345.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As my mom said &#8211; it was good that we had time to walk and stay in the Cathedral twice, for after one visit it is hard to grasp it and to remember anything. Those pure Gothic lines without any decor on them are very impressive&#8230;Its  altars were more crowded with decors, which is understandable, but at least it had those pure walls.There was also this crypt   -under the main altar, with the remains of some saint, that I forgot whose&#8230;:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2085\" title=\"DSCF0344\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0344.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">One of the nicest altar sculptures to my eyes &#8211; by the Baptizing pool:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2096\" title=\"DSCF0347\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0347.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2168\" title=\"DSCF0343\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0343.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was also a cloister that we missed the first time &#8211; it had the historic geese the monks used to have there :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2086\" title=\"DSCF0572\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0572.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"563\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2087\" title=\"DSCF0575\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0575.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2088\" title=\"DSCF0573\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0573.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And again some more of the Old Medieval City:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2091\" title=\"DSCF0375\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0375.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2089\" title=\"DSCF0485\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0485.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The Archeological Museum:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2090\" title=\"DSCF0488\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0488.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And some bright shops:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2092\" title=\"DSCF0367\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0367.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And the Church of Santa Maria Del Mar &#8211; also a Gothic wonder!:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2093\" title=\"DSCF0365\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"563\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2094\" title=\"DSCF0500\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"563\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2095\" title=\"DSCF0497\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0497.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And when my mom got tired, she had beer, even in that cold weather, she said it helped her:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2160\" title=\"DSCF0383\" src=\"\/impressions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/DSCF0383.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bet those were the most attractive parts of Barcelona for us.
